NILS WRASSE
Composer

Music for your imagination.
I’m a musician and film composer based in Munich, working across orchestral, electronic, and hybrid sound worlds. Music has always been my way of understanding stories and emotions, not just as something to listen to, but as something that carries meaning and narrative.
My musical path took me through Detroit and Berlin, where I developed a strong foundation as an instrumentalist before focusing more and more on composing for film.
Today, my work centers on cinematic storytelling: from intimate, minimal textures to large-scale orchestral scores built to support character, world-building, and dramatic arcs.
I’ve written music for fictional films, documentaries, and series, collaborating closely with directors and creative teams in international contexts.
My first collaboration with Murad Abu Eisheh, Tala’Vision, received the Student Academy Award in 2021 and was shortlisted for the Oscars in 2022 – an experience that shaped my understanding of how powerful music can be when it’s crafted with intention and purpose.
Alongside composing, I’m a multi-instrumentalist, and this deeply informs my writing process.
I perform and record most musical elements myself and combine them with live orchestral recordings, allowing the score to stay tactile, detailed, and emotionally grounded.
Whether working with modern cinematic language or traditional orchestral writing, my focus is always the same: serving the story and creating music that feels alive.
